What's the difference between a monogram and embroidery? TOP

Confusing…right? Well, “monogram” is a 1, 2 or 3 letter combo that usually makes up a person’s initials.  Personalized lettering other than initials is referred to as personalized or custom embroidered.  When you are choosing fonts or monograms, please keep in mind to only choose a monogram style if you are submitting initials. If you are submitting a name, choose a font style.

What's the correct order for initials? TOP

There isn't a right or wrong order to monogram initials. An individual person's
monogram is typically done with their last name in the center, their first name initial on the left and their middle name initial on the right. Monograms for a "couple" are typically done with the couple's shared last name initial in the center, larger than the outer 2 letters, which represent the first initial of each person.  

How do I care for my embroidered item? TOP

It is recommend that you wash personalized garments inside out (when applicable) in cold water on a delicate or hand wash cycle.  Dry with low heat or air dry to ensure no shrinking.  Embroidery and appliqué can be ironed directly on top with low heat. We are not responsible for damage to the products by misuse, normal wear or by dry cleaning.

Is your monogramming and embroidering done in house? TOP

Yes and No.  Many of the garments are done in-house...however, we have done extensive research to bring you the widest selection of personalized gifts to choose from. In that search we have found many talented designers and manufacturers all over the United States who offer unique products. We are as confident in their workmanship as we are in our own.

Do you do custom designs? TOP

We have lots of designs, fabrics, colors and fonts that are not featured on our site. If you have an idea or theme you would like to see please contact us.  We welcome the opportunity to try and bring your vision to life.  *Additional fees may apply.

Can you personalize one of my own garments, jewelry, or bag? TOP

No. Due to the nature of this business Chaotic Creations by Kristen and our vendors will not be responsible for any products but their own.

If you can't find it on our site, send us an e-mail and we'll let you know if we have it or know someone who does.

How will my personal information be used? TOP

We love our privacy and respect yours. We will never sell or share your information with any outside party. Your information is solely used to process and ship your order. We do offer specials, product updates, trend alerts, etc via an email newsletter throughout the year. You're email will be added to this list unless you specify that you do not want to receive the newsletter.

What is the sales tax? TOP

Maryland residents are subject to a 6% sales tax.

How long until I will receive my order? TOP

All items are custom-made. Please allow two to four weeks for delivery. If you need something in a hurry, please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

How is my order shipped? TOP

Because we work with many talented designers and manufacturers that ship from all over the United States, each with specific production requirements and shipping methods, it varies by vendor. If you have any concerns please feel free to contact us before placing your order for more details. 

Please note that if you have ordered more than one item, they may arrive in several shipments. 

We will do our best to contact you via email as your items ship.

If you need items in a "Rush" please contact us before placing your order. We will do our best to accommodate your request. Additional charges may apply.

What forms of payment do you accept? TOP

For your convenience and credit safety we have installed a "Secured" shopping cart through PayPal. They accept most major credits cards as well as bank transfers.  Please contact us if you need to make other payment arrangements.

Please note that your account is charged at the time you submit your order. Credit card authorization and verification must be received prior to processing orders.

What is your Return Policy? TOP

Personalized items are not returnable, all sales are final. Please be sure to check, double check, and triple check spelling before placing your order as well as product specifications. All custom-made, monogrammed, personalized and hand-painted items are created per your specifications and personalized just for you. Therefore, they are non-returnable unless it is our error. If we have made a mistake, we welcome the opportunity to resolve the error immediately.  Please contact us within 5 days after receiving the shipment.
